Daddy-Daughter Date

There are some definite positives for Auburn having such a terrible football. . . football tickets are cheap! Ben took Alexis to see the football game yesterday and I'm surprised to say, she had a great time. Ben said that Alexis was pretty scared the first 5 minutes because their seats were really high up and Lexi was scared of heights. He said that every few moments she would bow her head and pray so that she wouldn't be afraid. After a few prayers she found the courage to walk up the stairs and sit down. Once she was in her seat she had a great time! It makes me so happy to see that she would think to pray when she is scared - and that Heavenly Father would answer her prayers. I'm really glad that Ben was able to take her to the game. It was great bonding time for both father and daughter. If we're lucky, maybe the team will be terrible again next year and we can take the whole family! (J/K - I don't want them to be bad next year - it wouldn't make Ben very happy.)

At the end of the game Lexi got to pose with Aubie the Tiger.

Here is Alexis chanting, "War Eagle." That's
Auburn's cheer (long story).

Way to go, Lex! Riley wanted me to ask you if there were fighter jets flying over the stadium before the game (that is all she remembers from us taking her to the Las Vegas Bowl a few years ago to see BYU play...needless to say she still hasn't gotten over scare the jets gave her).
